Salad with, let's see, mixed greens, pasta salad, jack cheese chunks, banana peppers, grilled chicken, cucumbers, chickpeas, black olives, bean salad and ff balsamic vin.

I forgot to take my phone with me to lunch, so you'll have to use your imagination.  I found a sunbeam to sit in and read the new Anne Rivers Siddons book, Burnt Mountain.  It's so good, as all of her books are.

Hummus, turkey, tomato from my garden, and lettuce on whole wheat.  Leftover sweet potatoes from last night.  Ice water. 

I wish I'd have saved some of the cucumber from this morning for my sandwich.  I don't know why I didn't think of it at the time!

Made a sandwich with the only cucumber I've gotten from my garden. Last year I was covered up in cukes?

And cherry coke zero.

Portabello and Gouda stuffed burger, roasted sweet potatoes with bleu cheese, grilled okra. Leinenkugel Summer Shandy

Tortilla crusted tilapia and a double helping of roasted broccoli. Extra lemon juice on everything. I love our caf.

I bought these little fruit snacker things at the store last night. Tasty. The yogurt is a back up for when my tummy starts growling, or if not, my my afternoon snack.  Oh, and 3.75 miles this morning.

July 18- breakfast (and catch up)

What a fantastic weekend!  Friday afternoon, Candy, Aaron, and I drove to SC for Landsford Canal 50k.  The road trip was a blast, complete with boiled peanuts and a Cheerwine slushie!  Dinner was at a local italian place where we shared calamari and a bottle of wine, and I had the Greek spaghetti (noodles, chicken, feta, olive oil).  Pre-race breakfast was a piece of banana bread, some eggs and sausage, and coffee.  I didn't eat much during the race:  a handful of goldfish (they were spicy ugh), some orange slices (the candy, not the real thing), lots of grapes, three powerades, and a mountain dew.  Post-race was half a hamburger, some salad, and some bread at Longhorn (I never can eat much right after), but later that night I ordered Chinese food (szechuan shrimp yum!). Yesterday had leftovers for breakfast, some BBQ and potato salad at Tonya's pool, and then dinner with Jeff at Buckhead Diner where I got the blue plate special (fried chicken and mac and cheese), and we shared some bleu cheese chips - DELISH!!

July 15- breakfast #2

Clearly a yogurt isn't holding me theses days. I'm running a 50k tomorrow, so I suppose giving in to my growling belly is ok. And I need the protein. Turkey bacon and egg on an English muffin (I've requested ww muffins). It was tasty.

July 14- lunch

I had packed a nice healthy lunch for today, but my boss took us out for a "working" lunch.  We actually got a lot accomplished during lunch, but now I'm worthless. 

We went to Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft which was delicious.  That's twice for Asian food this week, I guess three times if you count what I ate for dinner last night!

We had a small plate of Thap Kai (grilled chicken livers) first.  I'm not a chicken liver fan, but I tried one and it was ok.  I'm still not a chicken liver fan!

We all got the lunch box special, which came in a cool little stacked container (the picture below is them unstacked and from the website - again, I didn't want to take a pic in front of my boss and be a weirdo).  Even tho the portions were small, it was still a big lunch.

The special today was veggie soup, jasmine rice, red curry beef, and pork with basil and I ate every bit of it.  Food coma now!  But good fuel for my 50k on Saturday.

My stomach was growling, loudly, so I ate my emergency yogurt stashed in the fridge at work.  How long until lunchtime?

I had to be at work early for a participant, so I got an egg white with spinach, peppers, and onions omelette from the Caf.  I asked to make it half the size they normally are.  Well, if this is half, then I'd hate to see a regular one.  But I'll probably still eat it all. ETA:  I didn't.

Dinner tonight was at Mykonos Grill - oh how I love Greek food!!!

July 12 - Lunch

I had a meeting at GA Tech this morning, and the bossman took us for lunch afterwards to Tin Drum Asia Cafe.  It was quite tasty!!!  Great looking menu, but I was feeling kind of rushed and too many choices, so I went with the Thai chicken drumroll (kind of like a mini snack wrap) and a veggie spring roll.  It all looked really good tho!  It was really good - very cilantro-y.

This weekend has been crazy! But fun! Lots of running and running around! Eating was hit or miss - had some peach cobbler in the middle of my 19 mi run, party food Sat night (and home brewed beer), boiled peanuts for lunch on Sun after another trail run, and this deliciousness from Park Tavern for dinner before dancing my booty off to Connor Christian and Southern Gothic.

Fancy hot dog ;-) and sweet potato fries (of which I ate a third - but I ate all the dog :p).

July 8- dinner

Dinner was at Genki - my favorite sushi place that I haven't been to in years!  It was too dark to take pictures (hmmm is this blog a good enough excuse for a new Iphone 4...or 5?), so no pics.  We split an order of edamame, a super crunch roll (I know, the "bad" kind of sushi), and I had a brown rice bowl with vegetables and tofu. 

I have two long runs planned for the weekend - Meat Grinder (Approach trail to the AT) on Sat, and the Pinhoti Trail/Twisted Ankle course on Sun.  Fun fun!!!
